Et Erit Lux is a specially designed hampers for Christmas 2020, made by Tinkerworks in collaboration with Eviri, a local everyday fashion brand in Jakarta, Indonesia
2020 has been a weird year for all of us globally, where we had to stay home most of the time while fighting the pandemic. Jakarta is no exception. A huge city with approximately 10 million inhabitants, many businesses were closed down, people laid-off, and most businesses comes to a shattering halt.
In this regard, Christmas is still here; it arrives with all of its glory and joy&emdash;a moment’s reprieve for all the world has gone through. That is why with this special hampers, we wanted to remind people that Yuletide is still magical, even in its simplest, intimate form.
Translated to Let There Be Light in Latin, we hope that these hampers can shine a light towards 2021 with all of the good things in a prayer, all neatly packed in a beautiful box made by us, with all the necessities that you will need in the next year provided by Eviri.
All of us at Tinkerworks visited Eviri's workshop and hand-spraypainted the whole wooden box used for the hampers to add that authentic, handmade feel.
Extending the logotype, we created the brand architecture of Et Erit Lux to be applied to the tags of each item presented, each with their own custom flourishes
